INTRODUCTION
------------
"The New English-German Dictionary" is an electronic English-German/
German-English dictionary which helps you to find translations to a
specific term including several examples for context usage.

All translations in the program are either based on various sources
from the Internet or were entered by me and other volunteers.
"The New English-German Dictionary" is a shareware product. Copying
of the unregistered program package is permitted. The archive must
be kept in its original state.

By installing "The New English-German Dictionary" evaluation version
you receive a powerful electronic dictionary and a database containing
more than 151,000 revised translations. After registering you will get
access to the latest database (presently 240.000 translations) for
optimal results and best use of the program.
Though the authors have done everything to ensure that the translations
are correct, it cannot be guaranteed in any way for the correctness or
usability of the requested translations.

In case of any incorrect or missing translations we request you to send
us the words with correct translations so that we can refine the database.


REGISTRATION

By registering your copy of "The New English-German Dictionary", you
not only get the latest version of the program and database, but also
acquire free help and you support the idea of shareware.
Additionally, you encourage the authors to develop the program further.

To register your copy of the program please send the registration fee

          DM 40 or US$ 30

in cash to the following address:
(put the cash between non-white paper and send it by ordinary
mail without any hint to the contents)

Please note that we CAN'T accept foreign cheques unless you add

REQUIREMENTS
------------

Strongly recommended requirements for running "The New English-German
Dictionary" are:

   - Pentium Processor with at least 200 MHz
   - >32 MB RAM
   - Windows 95 / 98 / NT

The New English-German Dictionary ist Y2K compliant.


INSTALLATION
------------

To install the program you need to unpack the self-extracting archive
by just starting the downloaded executable file.

For registration of the program select the menu 'Help->Registration'
and enter your registration data.

After completing this successfully the bottom line should change
from "Unregistered version" to "Registered for ..." and all functions
are enabled.
